Questions
Yes, you surely can. It often occurs that unidentified gifted people are not aware of their giftedness. I know that it can feel scary at first to reach out for support. Take the time you need to get comfortable with the idea. In case of doubt you can send me an e-mail or book a 30-minute video call (free). The free call is meant as an introduction. It will give you the opportunity to ask the questions necessary to decide if you are ready to go on a journey with me.
I believe that every human being, gifted or not, has creative potential. It means having the ability to express yourself in a unique way. Your sense of creativity may show up in eloquence, solution making, debate techniques, art work, wittiness, innovative ideas, writing and so on. It is possible that currently your creative potential is in a latent state due to false or self-sabotaging beliefs, upbringing, life circumstances or events. However, in a coaching or therapy trajectory you get to awaken and explore your creativity.
Absolutely! Every-body can move. Flexible joints, technical skills or rhythm are not required. Yet, you do need an open mind and willingness to involve your body in the process. No worries, over time you will get more comfortable with using your body within this context. Individuals of all ages, genders, backgrounds and physical abilities are welcome. We celebrate the possibilities and respect the limitations of your body.
The trajectory starts with a verbal intake session (50-60 min.). This session is meant to get more acquainted with you and to outline your goals. These goals may change or need adjustment during the process. Besides you can ask questions or share your worries and doubts. At the end we will schedule your first therapy/coaching session. Then we start off. Usually each one-to-one session takes around 60 minutes and comprises three parts: (1) verbal check-in, (2) nonverbal experience, (3) verbal reflection and evaluation. Please note that the duration, set-up and content can vary depending on the client’s needs, or due to therapeutic decisions in the best interest of the client.
Each time we start from nonverbal cues that arise from the body and movement and/or from essential themes that run as common threads through your process. Sessions include mindfulness, creative movement, play, breathwork, meditation, authentic movement, journaling, body scans and many other methods.
I offer sessions in English and Dutch.
Wear clothing that allows you to sit, lie and move freely. It is important to feel comfortable.
  • You need a calm room where you can seclude yourself.
  • Make sure you have some free space to move. However, there is no need for a huge room.
  • Sufficient light in the room is necessary in order to be clearly visible on camera.
  • Bring a (yoga) mat, blanket, pillow, paper and coloring to each session.
  • Last but not least, your computer, iPad or smartphone must have a camera and reliable internet connection. Online sessions take place via Zoom.
